Transferring an Existing Iris Market Builder Site to a New Owner
If you would like to sell or otherwise transfer your website to a new owner, here are the steps to follow.
Important! Your account cannot be transferred if payments are not current. If an account is 15 days past due it will be suspended. At 30 days past due it is terminated and cannot be reactivated or transferred. This information is included in the policies you agree to upon sign up. Thank you for understanding and for keeping your account current.
Current Owner
1) Open a support ticket to support@elementalmuse.com and let us know you are transferring ownership of your site, and include the new owners name and email address.
2) Ask new owner to create their own client account at http://elementalmuse.com/clients/register.php
3) Provide the new owner with the username and password to your storeadmin area.
4) Transfer ownership of your domain name to the new owner. The steps for this will vary based on where your domain name is registered through. Contact the support team of your domain registrar to find out the proper way to transfer the domain safely.
New Owner
1) Create your own client account at http://elementalmuse.com/clients/register.php. The Iris Market Builder support team will transfer ownership and billing for the hosting account into your new client account as soon as we have a written request from the current owner. All invoices will be sent to the email address you entered when you registered.
2) Familiarize yourself with the support options available for Iris Market Builder including the User Guide, which you can find at http://irismarketbuilder.com/support.html.
3) Sign up for your own account at http://www.mals-e.com (unless the current site owner has transferred their Mal's account to you as part of the deal--in which case you'll need to update the owner details for the account).
4) Login at http://www.mals-e.com and setup your payment, shipping, and tax options. You can find support and help for these options at http://mals-e.com/support.php (the help pages link is very useful!).
5) Be sure that the Mal's number for your account is properly entered in the storeadmin of Iris Market Builder. Login and then click "Catalog Setup" and check the Mal's ID and server fields. Update if necessary.
6) While logged into your storeadmin area, click "Site Settings" to go to the main settings page. Replace the previous owner's email address with your own email address.
7) Now payments and site emails will come to you. You can continue on to change anything else you'd like as far as products, categories, etc.
